| Product description | Colour InfraRed (CIR) orthophoto data for the Czech Republic. CIR orthophoto has been available since 2010 (for a small area around Semily, data are available from 2006). Up to 2012, the data have a pixel size of 0.5 m; for 2013–2017 the pixel size is 0.25 m; for 2018–2024 it is 0.20 m. From 2025, the images have a pixel size of 0.125 m. CIR orthophoto (false-colour orthophoto) is produced from aerial survey photographs, where the red band is replaced by the near-infrared band, the green band by the red band, and the blue band by the green band. CIR orthophoto is used primarily for evaluating vegetation condition. Healthy vegetation is represented by bright red colour. Between 2012 and 2024, the CIR orthophoto was produced by the National Forestry Institute (NLI). From 2025, CIR production is carried out by the Land Survey Office in cooperation with the Military Geographic and Hydrometeorological Office (VGHMÚř). | |
