| Product description | The contour lines were derived from the Digital Terrain Model of the 5th generation (DMR 5G) product. Their basic interval is 1 m, the attribute distinguishes emphasized contour lines with an interval of 5 m. In flat terrain, additional contour lines with an interval of 0.5 m are added. In this dataset, due to the requirements for universal use for 3D display in a wide range of GIS and CAD software, the contour line objects are converted into a form represented by a three-dimensional vector spatial component with coordinates X, Y, H. The height above sea level H, in the Balt height reference system after alignment (Bpv), is also stored as the attribute "HEIGHT", which brings additional possibilities for describing contour lines when creating maps. The dataset also contains an additional layer of gradients, represented by a two-dimensional vector spatial component with X, Y coordinates. Contour lines are not intended for altimetry analyses (visibility, inclination, slope orientation, etc.); for these purposes, it is recommended to use the DMR 4G or DMR 5G products. | |
