How do I find the recency of the offered spatial data?

Before purchasing the data may be viewed free of charge from the entire territory of the Czech Republic in the Geoviewer application. The browsing services include always the most recent spatial data available.

How could I exploit map (viewing) services provided by CUZK domain?

CUZK provides a free of charge access to the Real Estate Cadastre graphical data, state map series, orthophoto of the Czech Republic, ZABAGED ^®, Data50, Data200 and Geonames, administrative and cadastral boundaries and information of the geodetic control by public map services. It is possible to choose from a wide offer of WMS, WMTS or ArcGIS map services.

Browsing services are available to users both for viewing in the ČÚZK Geoportal applications and for use in all applications supporting the connection of map services, without the need for registration.

Is it necessary to use for ordering printed products always this application?

Not at all! For ordering prints we do not require any license, as for digital products Prints may be provided upon presentation of:

• Order from the form on-line sale of printed products .
• original of the purchase order signed by the applicant and giving contact person, telephone number, full address, bank connection and IČO (Identification Number of the Organization). Then the payment may be done by invoice;
• orders made by fax, e-mail or through Internet Shop. In this event the order prints are sent by a postal sevice cash on delivery, the payment can be also made in cash directly in the Map Shop;
• an order made in person in the Map Shop .

What Internet browsers can be used for viewing the pages and applications?

In order to ensure a right functioning of the Geoportal, including the Internet Shop, no cookie support is required. Moreover the support of JavaScript for functioning of Geobrowser is required, too. Before opening the Portal to the public the correct functioning of the applications is always tested on current versions of Internet browsers:

• Microsoft EDGE,
• Mozilla Firefox,
• Google Chrome.

State Map Series (including the Cadastral map – raster, Cadastral map – vector), ortophoto, hypsometry, Geonames, ZABAGED^® (Czech Fundamental Base of Geographic Data), data files of administrative and cadastre boundaries, archival documents, download services and printed products can be ordered in E-shop.

Printed products can also be ordered by filling the form on-line sale of printed products .

Open data does not need to be ordered, it is possible to download them directly.

What software to use for data processing?

Suitable software for data files processing
It is necessary to use software which enables processing of georeferenced data.
Those are vector data in formats shp, dgn, dfx, gml and raster data formats completed by files for positioning in a coordinate reference system TIF (TFW), JPG (JGW), CIT. GIS software (Geomedia, ArcGIS etc.) or CAD products (Microstation, Autocad etc.)can be used.

How to combine the data and view services correctly?

The data of the CUZK, eventually view services published from these data, may be combined e.g. in following way:

How to report an error in data?

Comments to the quality of the Land Survey Office products (maps – excepting cadastre map, orthophoto, Geonames, ZABAGED^®, data files of administrative and cadastre units (boundaries data), namely discrepancies between their representation in the product and the real state in the field, may be reported by using function “Hlášení chyb ” (“Reporting of Errors”).
