Map of the Czech Republic 1 : 1 000 000
The Map of the Czech Republic at 1 : 1 000 000 (MČR 1M) follows the general content of the map of the Czech Republic at 1 : 500 000 and is conceived as a synoptic, general topographic map. It shows the entire territory of the Czech Republic on a single map sheet.
The MČR 1M contains planimetry, altimetry, geographic coordinate grid, description and a map legend. Planimetry entails settlements, transportation (highways, motorways, railways), water network (significant water courses and reservoirs), state and regional boundaries, vegetation and land surface (forests) . Altimetry describes height points and shaded terrain relief. Map description consists of standardized geographic names, spot heights, map name and scale with colophon data and particulars of the graphic scale, textual description and marginal information (geographic coordinates) . Geographic coordinate map grid is divided into 1°. With the exception of intrastate administrative boundaries, the map contains contiguous areas which fall into territories of adjacent states.
Creation and update of the MČR 1M is the responsibility of the Land Survey Office.

The MČR 1M is used as a navigation layer in map viewing services which is described in section Network Services.
Viewing services can be exploited free in all applications (clients). The map window at introduction page of Application section at the CUZK Geoportal or Geoviewer client can be exploited to display them.
