| Product description | ZTM 25/S-JTSK started to be produced using digital technology in 2020 from the Fundamental Base of Geographic Data of the Czech Republic (ZABAGED®) and the Geonames database of geographical names of the Czech Republic as a replacement for the Base Map of the Czech Republic 1:25 000 (ZM 25). It is available as print files in PDF format (CMYK) containing the complete content of the map sheet, in raster TIFF format (RGB, 24-bit colour depth, 508 dpi, LZW compression), and in vector format in SHP and DGN8, enabling the use of ZTM 25/S-JTSK data in GIS and CAD applications, including limited editing. The distribution unit is the ZTM 25/S-JTSK map sheet. In the case of the print PDF, it covers an area of 400 × 500 mm with an overlap of 20 mm in the east–west direction and 10 mm in the north–south direction, plus space for frame data and marginal information (total PDF area 500 × 790 mm). In the case of the raster TIFF tile, the segment size is 400 × 500 mm (corresponding to 10 × 12.5 km at map scale). The position of individual tiles in the coordinate system is ensured by world files (TFW). The same spatial extent applies to the distribution units of vector data in SHP and DGN8 formats. | |
| Update cycle - update state | The entire data series is updated by two principal methods — periodic update of ZTM within the ČÚZK Editorial Plan for the given year, and continuous update of selected objects on the basis of current source data. The currency of the data series corresponds to the ZABAGED® and Geonames source data at the time of commencement of preparatory work on the ZTM update within the ČÚZK Editorial Plan (in the case of ZTM 25, approximately one third of the Czech Republic territory per year). Source data with a currency of 10 October 2021, 2 January 2023, and 2 January 2024 were used for production. An update of significant planimetry features (railways and roads administered by the Road Directorate of the Czech Republic) was carried out on the basis of data with a currency of 6 January 2026.
